This guidance details the processes of chemical safety assessment and documentation of assessment results in the form of exposure scenarios as part of safety data sheets.

The whole procedure is described, from gathering the necessary information to conducting a three-stage assessment and scenario development. The processes of calculation of DNEL and PNEC indicators and use of IT modeling (Q)SAR, ECETOC Tra, EUSES are separately emphasized.
